‘My School is Health Certified’ event held

KUWAIT CITY, April 22: The School Health Sector at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Area in collaboration with Dhahiya Sabah Al-Salem Cooperative Society and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Cooperative Society Saturday held an awareness event at Al-Imam Al-Shaf’e Elementary School for Boys at Sabah Al-Salem.

The event was held under the auspices of Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Health DrAbdulrahman Al-Mutairi. Director of School Health Department DrIftikar Al-Adwani also attended the event.

In a speech, DrAdwani said the event was titled “My School is Health Certified” to crown the comprehensive plan as a collaborative effort between School Health Department at Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education represented by Mubarak Al-Kabeer Education Area.

It also consolidates the significance of societal partnership among local institutions to accomplish the ultimate mission of strengthening health and education of school, as well as workers within the school community and its surroundings.

She affirmed that the speech she delivered during the 2017/2018 academic year celebration was the first towards implementation of “My school is health fortified” initiative.

She expatiated that three schools have been selected from each governorate to boost financial and human capabilities as a way of creating appropriate healthy environment for work and learning in such a way that will enable it play effective role in consolidating community health.
