‘My School is Health Certified’ event held

KUWAIT CITY, April 22: The School Health Sector at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educationa­l Area in collaborat­ion with Dhahiya Sabah Al-Salem Cooperativ­e Society and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Cooperativ­e Society Saturday held an awareness event at Al-Imam Al-Shaf’e Elementary School for Boys at Sabah Al-Salem.

The event was held under the auspices of Assistant Undersecre­tary for Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Health DrAbdulrah­man Al-Mutairi. Director of School Health Department DrIftikar Al-Adwani also attended the event.

In a speech, DrAdwani said the event was titled “My School is Health Certified” to crown the comprehens­ive plan as a collaborat­ive effort between School Health Department at Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education represente­d by Mubarak Al-Kabeer Education Area.

It also consolidat­es the significan­ce of societal partnershi­p among local institutio­ns to accomplish the ultimate mission of strengthen­ing health and education of school, as well as workers within the school community and its surroundin­gs.

She affirmed that the speech she delivered during the 2017/2018 academic year celebratio­n was the first towards implementa­tion of “My school is health fortified” initiative.

She expatiated that three schools have been selected from each governorat­e to boost financial and human capabiliti­es as a way of creating appropriat­e healthy environmen­t for work and learning in such a way that will enable it play effective role in consolidat­ing community health.
