BAIA breaks records with dance exam results
The British Academy of International Arts (BAIA) has received the highest distinction pass rate from a weekend of dance examinations under the National Association of Teachers of Dance (NATD). These dance exams included graded Contemporary examinations in Grades 4 to 6 and Trophy Dance Awards in Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Jazz.
A group of 65 students entered under dance teachers, Ms Claire Findlay and Ms Alley Hunter, after completing 3 terms of learning the exam work. These examinations are recognised
BAIA students who excelled in exams with their teachers. as part of the national qualification framework in England, which allows the students to obtain UCAS points to put toward entry for universities in Europe.
The overall result concluded with 81 entries achieving 74 distinctions and 7 merits which was a magnificent result beating last year’s inaugural result of 90 % distinction pass rate. This is the highest success score BAIA has ever been awarded.
The examiner, Ms Yvonne Creber from the UK, was high in her praise for the consistent standard and thorough preparation of the students.
