KAMCO sponsors 1st East Chain Open Hub conference in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: KAMCO Investment Company (“KAMCO”), a leading investment company with one of the largest AUMs in the region, was a gold sponsor of the first East Chain Open Hub (“ECOH”) blockchain conference in Kuwait. In addition to sponsoring the conference, KAMCO participated in one of the several panel discussions that discussed some of the opportunities and impacts of blockchain technology on the financial and banking sectors.
The two-day conference organized by East Chain Co at Al Shaheed Park’s auditorium featured a group of renowned experts within several industries including; banking, finance, healthcare and more. Faisal Hasan, Chief Business Development Officer of KAMCO, represented the firm during the event, led the first panel discussion during the conference on “Blockchain’s Impact on Asset Management – Funds, ETF’s and More”. After each panel discussion, attendees got a chance to join the discussions by asking the experts questions related to each panel topic.
Commenting on the conference, Hasan, said, “We are very pleased with the overall outcome of this conference and would like to thank the event organizers as well as all those who participated. This conference served as a platform for KAMCO to participate in an initiative that highlights some of the most widely discussed topics in the digitization of the financial services industry.”
Hasan further added, “At KAMCO, we believe in such initiatives that help educate and support the local community.
