KUWAIT CITY, May 12: Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kuwait has taken a decision to reduce the charges for entry visas to Saudi Arabia for some nationalities, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.

They said the visa charges have been reduced for Indians and Indonesians. A single-entry visa costs SAR 305, multiple-entry SAR 550 and annual visa SAR 1,100.

The sources revealed that the visa charges for the rest of the nationalities are currently under review.

Ministry of Health has decided to allow doctors to determine the type and quantity of medicines to offer non-Kuwaiti patients without any additional charges as well as the time period for the use of these medicines, reports AlAnba daily.

This move was taken after realizing that medicines were being offered for a period of only one month, due to which congestion was witnessed in various clinics.

State Minister for Housing Affairs and State Minister for Services Affairs Dr Jinan Boushahri declared the formation of an ad-hoc committee to investigate the flooding of runways in Kuwait International Airport due to the recent rains which in turn had disrupted the flight movement at the airport, reports Al-Anba daily. In a press release, she said the flooding of the runways at Kuwait International Airport is an unacceptable matter especially considering the prior preparations for avoiding such incidents.

She revealed that the Directorate General for Civil Aviation had formed a committee last November for carrying out preparations for the rainy season, which ended in February, and checking all manholes and the drainage system.
