‘Docus maintained’:

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ), in cooperation with the central agency for illegal residents, issued 1,563 official documents for these residents in 2017, the Ministry of Justice said on Saturday.

Mohammad Al-Hammad, the ministry Assistant Undersecretary for property and documentation registration, said in a statement to KUNA that the legislation department and its sub-divisions issued 1,087 marriage documents, 432 divorce ones and 44 marital affairs’ documents between Jan 1 and end of December 2017.

Al-Hammad mentioned other documents, including ones related to inheritance, had been also released.

A 2011 Cabinet resolution stipulates granting facilities and privileges in transactions to this segment of the population. (KUNA)
