‘Jazeera’ to open new bldg:
Jazeera Airways Wednesday organized a press tour at its new building (Terminal 5) which is scheduled to open for passengers in the next two weeks.
The terminal was constructed in accordance with the latest airport systems and standards to provide the best and fastest services to customers. It has the capacity of up to 2.5 million passengers per year.
Board Chairman of Jazeera Airways Marwan Boodai, during a tour, said the terminal will contribute to increasing the number of passengers for the airline from 1.3 million currently to 1.8 million passengers by the end of this year.
He highlighted that the company’s entrance has been separated from that of Kuwait International Airport through the gate of Jazeera Airways building but the building remains connected inside with Kuwait International Airport. Boodai affirmed that the new building represents a milestone in the aviation industry in Kuwait and the Middle East, and is considered as the “first passengers building” owned by a non-government company, adding that this stands as a testimony of Kuwaiti government’s confidence in enabling the private sector to play an active role in the implementation of NewKuwait 2035 Vision. He paid tribute to the government and the Directorate General for Civil Aviation for their continued support in developing the local civil aviation industry.
