Gang of 4 beat up Syrian

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: A Syrian man filed a complaint at Abu Halifa Police Station against four Egyptians who allegedly beat him.

According to the complainan­t who arrived in the station with a bleeding right ear, the suspects called him while he was going out of a building in the area. When he approached them, they started beating him and left only after he asked for help from passersby.

He told police he does not know any of the suspects and he has no idea why they beat him. He provided police with a detailed descriptio­n of the suspects and investigat­ions are ongoing to arrest them.

Meanwhile, four Kuwaitis fought over a parking spot in Ali Sabah Cooperativ­e Society resulting in injuries to two of them. The injured were referred to Adan Hospital.

Also, four Kuwaitis and one Bedoun were involved in a public brawl in Mahboula. One of them was injured as he was stabbed with a sharp object during the fight. The injured was taken to a nearby hospital.

‘Drifters’ nabbed: Officers from Public Security Sector continued their campaign in Jaber Al-Ali, Mahboula and Sabahiya areas, and arrested 5 motorists for reckless driving. One of them had changed the front registrati­on plate to avoid being detected by traffic camera.

The officers impounded their vehicles to the ministry garage, a security source said.
