AUB launches its program during month of Ramadan
KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Ahli United Bank (AUB) announced that it will continue its community service during the month of Ramadan and launch its social program for the holy month, through which it offers a number of charitable, religious and social welfare activities based on the Bank’s belief in the importance of its social responsibility.
Ahli United Bank declared its keenness to develop its social program for the month of Ramadan, year after year, to ensure the best activities that fit the nature of the holy month and deepen the Bank’s association with the community.
This year, the Bank launched its Ramadan campaign to celebrate the holy month under the slogan “There is something more important”. The campaign focused on a set of distinguished values that remind us of the holy month, starting by worship and getting closer to God Almighty, the practice of our religious rituals and prayers and the importance of family connection and relations in addition to the exchange of greetings and the spread of joy and happiness in the hearts of everyone.
The Bank has organized its Ramadan Qur’an Recitation Competition, which is being held for the fourth consecutive year. This year, the competition has been developed to include eight primary categories: male and female employees, staff members’ children, and from the public, male children whose ages range between 6 to 10 years old, female children between 6 to 10 years old, male children between 11 to 17 years old, female children between 11 to 17 years old in addition to the new category added this year, children with hearing imparities.
AUB announced in a press release: “As part of AUB’s commitment towards charity work and in order to stimulate the concept of giving, participation and collective volunteering by the Bank and its employees, the Bank’s social program will include a number of social initiatives in cooperation with the Red Crescent in the campaign “Sa’ed Tasa’ad” to support families with low income, various activities with Loyac in their annual campaign “Service is my Joy”, in addition to others initiatives.”
AUB’s social program during the month of Ramadan will include a number of community initiatives to include: the preparation and distribution of necessity food supplies for needy families, visits to elderly homes, orphanages and children in hospitals to distribute girgean and gifts with an objective of easing their pain and making them happy throughout the month. This in addition to distributing food meals and Eid cloths to the needy families to bring joy into their hearts.
AUB concluded, “We believe in the importance of giving and joining efforts to ensure the continuity of aid and to fight scarcity in order to achieve real sustainable development in societies.
