Kuwait’s envoy chairs Arab meeting in Canberra
Kuwait’s Ambassador to Australia Najeeb Al-Bader chaired regular meeting of the Arab Ambassadors Council in the Australian capital Canberra with participation of New South Wales Senate Speaker John George Ajaka.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Ambassador Al-Bader said the diplomats discussed ways of strengthening cooperation in politics, economy, investment and boosting coordination with the Australian Chambers of Commerce.
Moreover, the ambassadors,
who discussed latest developments in the Middle East, were briefed about efforts by the State of Kuwait, as a member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to serve Arab causes.
During their meeting with Speaker Ajaka, the raised issues concerning the Arab community in Australia and ways to strengthen communications and interaction with the natives.
They affirmed importance of strengthening relations with the Australian Government on all levels, especially in light of developments in the Middle East.
On his part, Speaker Ajaka expressed his pleasure for having the opportunity to meet with heads of Arab missions in Canberra, noting his desire to boost relations with Arab states.
He praised the role played by the Council of Arab Ambassadors in strengthening the ArabAustralian relations.
