‘Powers seek to curb Iran’

‘Going all-out to save foe’

-

“ISRAEL has become like a mouse in the trap of ‘The Resistance Front’ and is no longer capable of leaving its frontiers despite its modern arsenal of sophisticated weapons that the West particularly the United States of America had generously given to it,” Mustafa Al-Sarraf wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“This arsenal includes nuclear bombs using which Israel has been threatening the countries in the region. For example, one may recall how Israel had threatened to bomb the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“However, currently it is Israel that is no longer capable of waging a war to break The Resistance Front that is surrounding it. In other words, Israel had failed in this regard, which in turn had spurred America to reach a nuclear deal with Iran during the reign of the former US president Barack Obama. This was aimed at halting the Iranian nuclear program and preventing Tehran from eventually possessing nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting the economic sanctions imposed on Iran.

“Such a nuclear agreement between Washington and Tehran had ensured the security of Israel and enabled it to maintain its superiority by virtue of its nuclear weapons that do not exist in any state in the region.

“Since the International Zionism is striving to dominate the entire region alone without having to deal with any rivals, it had strived to nullify the nuclear agreement between the United States of America and Iran, eventually resorting to the economic war against Tehran, considering the fact that the International Zionism has many vehicles for lifting a siege that is likely to be imposed on Israel.

“That being the case, it was Israel that realized the current US President Donald Trump, along with his administration, will represent the right figure capable of carrying out its schemes for lifting the siege imposed on Israel using a method that is different from the military method. This method is represented by imposing economic sanctions on Iran in an attempt to force the Iranian regime to change its stance, which is in support of the Arab Resistance Front. This will in turn enable Israel to eventually spread its influence once again in the region.

“The economic factor was accompanied by another factor for bringing down the Iranian regime. This factor is the so-called “Deal of the Century” which focused on creating a fissure in The Resistance Front in a way that will enable Israel to move freely towards achieving normalization of ties with the Arab countries with which it built economic partnerships. This will economically and financially benefit the International Zionism at the expense of the regional countries.

“In addition, this method will achieve what had not been achieved through the failed wars waged by Israel against The Resistance Front.

“However, will the Arab people continue to stand silent and avoid dealing with what is happening currently, as it is aimed at destroying them and the future of their generations as well as humiliating them under the control of the Zionist colonialism, which is like ancient imperialism and will prevail if the so-called “Deal of the Century” is passed?

“One cannot help but wonder if America will succeed in closing all the outlets in the face of Iran.

“President Trump, in the context of implementation of the relevant scheme, will have a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. He may offer President Putin everything that is currently in the possession of America in order to settle the conflicts between President Trump and the Russian Federation. He may persuade President Putin to disengage the relations between Russia and Iran in order to close all outlets for the latter irrespective of the costs and the moral and financial losses that America may likely incur in this regard.

“Will Trump succeed in achieving this through his meeting with Putin, or will such a meeting face the same fate as that of President Trump and the president of North Korea?”

“The American newspaper ‘The New York Post’had published on its front page an article titled ‘Kuwait with the choice of Arab-Israeli Coalition or facing the wrath of Trump’ on June 29. It was an apparent reference to President Donald Trump’s intention to form an Arab-Israeli coalition against Iran”, columnist and former director of Culture Department at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Waleed Al-Rujaib wrote for Al-Rai daily.

“However, Kuwait was the first to stay firm in its commitment concerning the right of the Palestinian people to return to their homeland and have an independent state on its own territories with East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

“Kuwait, in its capacity as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, had adopted a principled attitude against the Israeli troops’ aggression towards unarmed Palestinian people.

“One may recall the proposal that it had been submitted to the United Nations Security Council for condemning the Israeli aggression towards the Palestinians. This proposal had actually provoked the dissatisfaction of the American Ambassador to the United Nations, simply because Washington can be deemed as a caretaker and strategic ally of Israel, and has been complying with the orders of the Zionist Lobby in the USA.

“Actually, the Kuwaiti proposal was within the framework of the foreign policy of the State of Kuwait which is based on neutrality and independence. It was also in line with the objectives and principles of the United Nations.

“As a matter of fact, the State of Kuwait is not the only state that does not recognize Israel and consider the latter as a ‘state of occupation’ that is involved in practicing violent and terroristic acts against the Palestinian people and occupying their territories after displacing them from their homeland.

“To add to all this, the United States of America led by President Trump has been pushing Arab countries to increase their oil output in order to offset a shortage that is likely to result from the absence of Iranian oil in the international market due to the American sanctions imposed on Iran. By doing so, Donald Trump is aggressively overstepping OPEC as though the latter is one of his own organizations.

“It is worth mentioning that the attitude of the State of Kuwait concerning the rights of the Palestinian people will remain unchanged.

“Referring to the statement made by the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in which he said ‘The State of Kuwait will be the last to normalize ties with Israel’, we pray to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace.”

“The cyclone of the so-called Arab Spring a few years ago swept through some parts of the Arab world, and the after-effects are still visible,” columnist Mohammad Saud Al-Bader wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“The masses have demanded the overthrow of their regimes to replace them with new systems of justice, equality and democracy. But the results have been disappointing.

“Contrary to what the masses expected, the chaos in their homes has engulfed their lives, civil wars have erupted, and some of these regimes have killed, displaced and destroyed their people.

“If the old regimes continue to do so, they would be better off than the catastrophic situation that our Arab nation continues to suffer from. The development of the Arab world has been disrupted and its wealth has been destroyed. The future remains uncertain. The smoke of these political, military, economic and social hurricanes covers the Arab world as seen by all.

“The results of the Arab Spring, which I described in an earlier article as Arab intimidation, have been a harsh lesson for the Arabs, who are considering changing their regimes in this way. They must follow peaceful methods of understanding and love to reform their regimes and avoid what happened in the two countries of the Arab Spring.

“Recently, there have been signs and indicators that may be similar to this spring in Jordan, where some protests called for canceling the proposed imposition of taxes, rising prices and other demands.

“However, with the help of God this brotherly country was saved from the worsening situation. The government hastened to resign and form a new government to calm down the situation and contain this crisis, in a country which is suffering from lack of resources, and going through economic and financial hardship.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan held a summit, at the behest of Saudi Arabia, during which it was decided to support Jordan with two-anda-half billion dollars to resolve this crisis and its obligations under the circumstances and risks that surround it.

“We ask God Almighty to protect our countries from the evils of these crises and let love, security, peace and stability prevail in the region.”

“The United States cannot remain the world’s leader in decision-making and dictating to other countries what they should say or do because of its enormous abilities,” columnist Dr Hesham Al-Diwan wrote for Al-Shahed daily.

“The Canadian-US dispute at the G7 summit three weeks ago showed that the major powers were beginning to regain their ability to say “No” to Washington, as a decision and situation rather than just a word.

“It is also impossible to keep the Russian Federation away from the grand group, which is a superpower with larger dimensions of power that is bigger tha all Western countries after the United States. Russian competition includes the United States and all major powers combined not only limited to the United States.

“The world is going through many events that are repeated, not because history repeats itself. Only God Almighty can make this saying come true. However, history repeats itself only if the prevailing conditions remain the same as if the tension between the different countries due to political, religious and economic reasons.

“The absence of tools for development, development and the future economy, as in the Arab and Muslim world except for Malaysia to a certain extent, Turkey and now Egypt will continue unless the requirements of decisionmaking, studies and research change are activated. Avoiding the religious and social disputes and keeping the social and tribal heritage away does not mean to get rid of religion or religious Constitution. This is because religion is the word of God and it does not necessarily include the human interpretations that are not away from error.

“The Cold War will continue, and a third party represented in the major powers will join the war. The reason is that those major powers are affected negatively by Washington’s desire to manage the world’s affairs according to its own interests.

“This is what is happening now of an undeclared trade war between Europe and America on the one hand and Europe and China on the other as a result of the protectionist policy of the current US president, Donald Trump, according to his experience as a businessman. Such commercial experience is quite different from that of a president of USA that has interests with almost every country in the world. Mentality of US president should not be as that of ordinary individual, even if it is very successful in real estate or other limited activities.

“I think that the time and the developments will push to change the current situation. United States will lose much either because of Trump’s policy and the mistakes he is doing or because of the growth of the economy of major countries such as China and India and the possibility of alliance with Russia, in addition to Europe to take up its potential and develop its policies.”

“On July 31, 2017, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Muhammad Al-Jabri, who is also in charge of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR), announced the formation of a commission of inquiry to look into the violations in the distribution of agricultural land to raise cattle to provide food security for the country,” columnist Tariq Abdullah Al-Aidan wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“After almost one year since the statement was made by the minister, and after taking over the new portfolio we have not have not seen results or heard anything from the so-called Commission of Inquiry that was formed, especially since the issue is not new where abuses in the distribution of agricultural land runs deep.

“According to the periodic reports issued by the Budget and Final Accounts Committee of the National Assembly, it turns out the PAAAFR had allocated many plots to citizens and companies without submitting for the allocations.

“To add insult to injury, no required supporting documents were provided and some individuals were allocated more than what they should have been given in violation of the legal age.”

“Kuwait continues a good run, as achievements one after the other follows under the reign of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Global Humanitarian Leader,” Abdulrahman AlAwwad wrote for Al-Sabah daily.

“Latest, but certainly not the last, of these achievements was witnessed Wednesday as His Highness the Amir inaugurated the new passenger terminal “Terminal 4” at Kuwait International Airport. This augurs well for the country and reflects the sublime special patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah of developmental projects which have become a landmark in the skies of Kuwait.

“These wonderful and pleasing occasions that Kuwait is experiencing including the inauguration of T4 is like a national wedding ceremony because it carries with it many meanings and also poses as an indication of the great efforts being exerted by the state, starting from those on top of the pyramid to the junior-most engineer in those projects.”
