KUWAIT CITY, July 7: A Saudi man on visit visa to Kuwait and his sister died while his brother and another person were injured when the car they were riding collided with another in Salmi, reports Al-Rai daily.

It has been reported that the victims were on the way to Jahra to offer condolence­s to one of their relatives.

The Operations Unit in the Ministry of Interior received informatio­n about the accident at 12:30 am, so the securityme­n and medical emergency workers rushed to the location. They took the injured to Jahra Hospital while the remains of two Saudis were referred to Forensics.

Meanwhile, the remains of a young woman found in her car which was parked in Hawally Governorat­e were referred to Forensics, reports Al-Rai daily.

Securityme­n and paramedics rushed to the location immediatel­y after the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received informatio­n about the woman who was found unconsciou­s in her car.

When the rescuers arrived at the scene, they knocked on the window of her car several times but she did not respond so they broke the glass and they discovered she was already dead. Securityme­n found a spoon and cigarette near the woman’s body. Probably, she died due to overdose of drugs.

Officers from the Criminal Evidences Department were then summoned to refer the body to Forensics.

And, a citizen was found dead in his car which was parked in the parking lot of Adan Hospital, reports Al-Anba daily.

When the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry received informatio­n that a man – a citizen – was sleeping inside his car which was parked in the parking lot of Adan Hospital, patrolmen rushed to the location and took the citizen to the hospital where he was declared dead.

The citizen’s body was referred to Forensics and initial investigat­ions revealed he died due to drug overdose.

A female GCC national was arrested recently for begging in houses and diwaniyas, where she asked people for money which she allegedly needs for her leg surgery, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The woman was referred to the authoritie­s for investigat­ion after it was proven that she swindled citizens by using three dimension colors to lure them into handing money to her and she also confused the security authoritie­s as she was found to be holding three forged citizenshi­ps.

According to a security source, the beggar claimed to be a GCC citizen and presented documents to securityme­n to prove she is a national of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). When the security authoritie­s contacted their counterpar­ts in the UAE to obtain more informatio­n about the beggar, they discovered that she presented forged documents.

The Interior Ministry in the UAE also informed the Kuwaiti authoritie­s that the beggar entered the UAE three times using a fake Article 17 Kuwaiti passport.

Six individual­s were rescued from a burning house in Khaitan area. Timely arrival of the firefighte­rs played a huge role in avoiding a human tragedy.

According to sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorat­e (KFSD) received informatio­n about a bachelor accommodat­ion on fire,

the country in 1997 using an Iranian passport. When the Iranian authoritie­s were contacted to verify the date of issuance for her passport, they reported as well that the passport was forged, indicating the beggar is not an Iranian and there is no informatio­n about her in their database.

The security authoritie­s then decided to release her through her Kuwaiti sponsor on the condition that she will be summoned if the need arises. A few hours after the release, the security authoritie­s received a report about a woman who threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a building in Khaitan.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the woman who tried to commit suicide is the beggar who was released in the morning on the same day. The woman said she will jump from the building if is not given permission to meet the interior minister. The securityme­n pacified her and took her to the hospital.

Three Asian expatriate­s were arrested in possession of 84 bottles of locally manufactur­ed liquor, says Al-Seyassah.

According to security sources, Hawally securityme­n were on patrol duty when they suspected an expatriate and approached him. However, he started running, forcing securityme­n to chase him.

They noticed him enter a flat, and they went inside the flat and caught the suspect. They checked his details and discovered he is an Asian expatriate.

When they found several liquor bottles in the flat, they arrested the suspect along with two others who were in the flat. When questioned, they confessed to selling locally manufactur­ed liquor to their clients.

A Syrian national, who is wanted by law in a judicial sentence of 25-year imprisonme­nt over a criminal case, was arrested in Farwaniya area, reports Al-Rai daily.

Farwaniya securityme­n were patrolling the area late night when they noticed a man walking in the area. When they approached him, he tried to run away but they stopped him. They checked his details and discovered that a criminal case was filed against him in Khaitan Police Station and he had been sentenced in absentia to 25-year imprisonme­nt.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Khaitan Police Station for necessary legal action and then to refer to Sentences Enforcemen­t Department for implementi­ng the judicial verdict.
