Diversion on 7th Ring Road:

General Traffic Department in collaborat­ion with the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport announces that King Fahad Expressway will be diverted to the adjoining road at an intersecti­on with the Seventh Ring Road for three days starting from the morning of Friday, 6/7/2018 until Monday, 9/7/2018 due to the demolition of the old bridge.

The department urges motorists and other road users to be cautious and abide by the traffic code and signposts. Wishing all safe drive!

‘Graveyard functions 24/7’:

Director of Funeral Affairs Department at the Kuwait Municipali­ty Dr Faisal Al-Awadhi said that “the cemetery of Kuwait receive the dead throughout the day and carry out the burial procedures non-stop 24/7 during the week,” reports Al-Rai daily.

However, he added, “the claim by some people that the dead are buried in the morning and after the Asr prayers only is not true.” However, he added some relatives are afraid to enter the graveyard after dark.

He affirmed, there are 160 grave diggers, 65 drivers and 50 men who wash and prepare males for burial in addition to 115 women who take care of female corpses.

Wanted Kuwaiti woman held:

A Kuwaiti woman who is wanted by law for her involvemen­t in three financial cases worth a total of KD 12,000 was arrested on the Coastal Road opposite Mahboula area, says Al-Seyassah.

According to security sources, Ahmadi securityme­n were patrolling the Coastal Road based on instructio­ns and guidance of Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa to arrest violators of law and wanted individual­s.

During their patrol duty, they suspected a woman who was driving an SUV and ordered her to pull over. They checked her details and discovered she is a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for her involvemen­t in three financial cases.

She was arrested and referred to the concerned authoritie­s for necessary legal action.
