MoSAL waiting for investment regulations endorsement by Cabinet for non-profit orgs
KUWAIT CITY, July 12: Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour Hana Al-Hajri says the ministry is waiting for the Cabinet to endorse investment regulations for non-profit organizations with the aim of enhancing their financial resources to enable them to achieve their establishment objectives, reports Al-Rai daily.
During her visit to the Kuwait Engineers Society, she affirmed, “The ministry will not spare any effort to support non-profit organizations in a manner that contributes to the development of the services offered to their members and the general public”.
Al-Hajri emphasized the support that she and the ministry shows towards the efforts rendered by the society for providing services to engineers, and its productive cooperation with the ministry in the aspect of attesting non-Kuwaiti engineers.
She said she hopes for continuous meetings between the ministry and various types of non-profit organizations with the objective of enhancing partnership values in achieving social development in the country.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Kuwait Engineers Society Eng. Faisal Al-Otol lauded the efforts rendered by the ministry and its cooperation to promote the agendas of various nonprofit organizations, and its continuous support and encouragement.
He revealed that the society, in the past three months, has been receiving about 400 clients on a daily basis, and it has issued about 8,000 recommendation letters to non-Kuwaiti engineers after they presented their certificates and passed
interviews which were set with the cooperation of Kuwait University.
At the end of the visit, Al-Otol and Al-Hajri along with delegation from “Shuoon” toured the headquarters of Kuwait Engineers Society and observed the infrastructural development aimed at improving the work of the society and its objectives in supporting the developmental plans and the New Kuwait 2035 vision.
