The Criminal Court acquitted two Kuwaiti citizens who are accused of physically attacking a compatriot inside a garage in Shuwaikh area following a disagreement over car racing in Sulaibiya area, says Al-Seyassah.

The Public Prosecution had charged the two citizens of beating the plaintiff and causing injuries that led the victim to suffering from severe pain throughout his body according to the medical report.

According to the case file, the first defendant and the plaintiff had reportedly disagreed over a matter concerning car racing on “Instagram”. At some stage, the first defendant began raising his finger to point towards the face of the plaintiff. A shouting match ensued, which snowballed into an exchange of blows at sensitive parts of the bodies. The second defendant joined the fight when it turned physical.

The defense counsel Lawyer Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan urged the court to dismiss the case, insisting that the allegations were spurious and lacked justifications. He stressed that there were no concrete evidences against his clients.
