Behaviour negative: Hujailan

Workers demand rights

-

KUWAIT CITY, July 17: Head of the Civilian Workers Syndicate at Ministry of Interior Nasser Al-Hujailan has affirmed that the refusal of Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs to receive them as a union representing civilian workers of the ministry to convey their grievances and problems represent an irresponsible behavior, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a statement issued on Monday, Al-Hujailan urged Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah to intervene to stop what he described as “negative behavior” and injustice in dealing with the representatives of the employees, insisting that this has a negative impact on employees.

He stressed the need for opening doors to reach out to ministry officials so that this department, which works on the safety of employees morally and physically, is not abused.

Al-Hujailan revealed about the anger and displeasure that the employees have towards the Administrative Affairs Sector due to its arbitrary and autocratic use of authority, pointing fingers at the employees of the secretariat of the Assistant Undersecretary of Administrative Affairs who refused to meet the workers syndicate without any justification, let alone the poor services and employees’ lack of basic rights at work.

He called on Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs to take up his responsibilities and pay attention to the demands of the employees who count on him to listen to their demands and needs.
