Plastic surgery without permit

KUWAIT CITY, July 17: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested at Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint in possession of five Captagon pills.

According to sources, customs officers at Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint suspected a citizen who was exiting the country and checked him to find the narcotic pills. He was arrested and referred with the pills to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.

Doctor arrested:

A tripartite committee whose members are from the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) and ministries of Interior and Commerce, in cooperatio­n with the Ministry of Health, arrested a female doctor for conducting plastic surgery in a private clinic without obtaining a license from the Health Licenses Department, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting sources.

This came after the authoritie­s received complaints from several people who disclosed that the suspect is conducting plastic surgery even if she is not licensed to do so.

A case was registered and the doctor was referred to the concerned security department.

Duo held for drugs:

Hawally securityme­n arrested two persons who were under the influence of drugs and possession of hashish, reports Al-Rai daily.

While patrolling the area, the securityme­n got suspicious as they noticed the unusual movement of a car, so they signaled for the driver to pull over. When they approached the car, the securityme­n found out that the driver and his companion were in an abnormal condition. They also discovered some rolls of hashish and stuffed cigarettes in the possession of the suspects.

The suspects tried to escape but the securityme­n chased them and then referred them to the concerned security department.
