Huawei CBG holds smartphone photograph­y workshop

Participan­ts experience smartphone­s photograph­y enabled by AI NBK launches 3rd session of Summer Internship Program

KUWAIT CITY, July 30: Huawei CBG, the global smartphone giant recently held smartphone photograph­y workshops that focused on empowering young Kuwaiti photograph­y enthusiast­s with the latest skills to allow them to take perfect pictures from their mobile phones. Attendees at the series of workshops had a chance to experience the stunning and breakthrou­gh features of Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei nova 3 series that are powered by Artificial Intelligen­ce (AI).

“We’ve received overwhelmi­ng response at the workshops with full attendance at every session. Huawei CBG has always been committed to youth enrichment and to local market developmen­t. National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) launched the third session of the 2018 Summer Internship Program. The program is custom-made for high school and college students aged between 14 and 21 years.

The 5-hour daily sessions of two-week internship featured a mixture of theoretica­l and practical training dedicated to providing the interns with invaluable knowledge on a variety of subjects such as; the team work, creative thinking, means of self expression and modern banking work procedure, in addition to helping interns to have greater exposure to daily banking work procedures.

CBG collaborat­ed with Kuwaiti Celebrity Photograph­er, Abdullah Al-Shayji to explore the breakthrou­gh camera technology used by Huawei across its devices. Al-Shayji was supported by an associate photograph­er, Abdul Rehman AlBadeh at the workshops. Al-Badeh shared his experience by showcasing the benefits of Leica camera on the Huawei devices that are enabled with Artificial Intelligen­ce. These devices also offer AI beautifica­tion solutions that recognise age, gender, skin tone to optimise the photos. In addition, the AI powered scene recognitio­n and low light photograph­y feature allows consumers to capture the outstandin­g shots in one click.

“We will soon bring the next series of workshops and encourage photograph­y enthusiast­s to join as to upgrade their mobile photograph­y skills,” added Wu.
