Deteriorate

Meanwhile, former secretary of Al-Arabi Sporting Club ret. Major General Mustafa Jumaa says the golden age of Qadsiya Sporting Club was during the reign of Sheikh Talal Al-Fahad, indicating that the club began to gradually deteriorate after his departure, reports Al-Shahed daily.

During a show on Al-Shahed TV channel, Jumaa revealed that he sometimes feels embarrassed when he goes to diwaniyas due to lack of achievements of his former club AlArabi Sporting Club, indicating that the club’s performance has been very bad both on and off the pitch especially due to some squabbles and conflicts in the management.

He said the club has nothing but its fans who have been very loyal and serve as a crown on the head of the club.

Jumaa disclosed that Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud has been paying the salaries of the employees and janitors of the club from his own pocket during his time at the club, adding that employees have gone for seven months without pay.

He stressed that the current board is not suitable for running things at the club, describing the secretaries as “Do not know the Alif from the Ya’a”.
