Meanwhile Chairperson of the Teaching Staff Association at Kuwait University Dr Ibrahim Al-Hamoud has denounced the ‘police attitude’ of some administrative staff who act like spies in following up the grades of students, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Hamoud claimed someone is intimidating members of the teaching staff by insinuating that the teachers are biased in giving grades. He asserted, “This non-academic method is an old and failed tactic which only led to embarrassment.”

He added, “This behavior is a violation of University Law number 29/1966 and Teaching Staff Affairs Act, in addition to contravening teaching norms and traditions, and violation of privacy rights; hence, the need for punitive response, especially since those who committed such acts have previous records of such behavior which contradicts the country’s laws, and in particular, the university’s laws.”

The government is set to resolve the files of the revoked nationalities, reports Annahar daily quoting a top level source.

The source revealed all cases will be looked into except the case of Ahmed AlJabr nationality, because this case is not covered by the existing compromise between the legislative and executive authorities.
