13,000 expats deported this year until date
‘242 engineering transactions completed’
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: Thirteen thousand expatriates have been deported from the country for various reasons including violation of the residence and labor laws and committing crimes including serious traffic offenses and other crimes from the beginning of 2018 until date, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting Interior Ministry sources.
According to a reliable ministry source, the deportees include those who had failed the medical tests and those suffering from Hepatitis or AIDS, some of whom were highly qualified.
The same source pointed out the development of the deportation administration in the
prisons has eliminated chaos to a wide extent. It has also led to better and safe health environment which otherwise had contributed to the spread of diseases inside the prison cells.
The source also said about 80 men and 20 women are currently awaiting deportation.
The source pointed out the pace of deportation has become very fast compared to the earlier days and stressed any person who is referred to the deportation center does not stay in the facility for more than a week unless if there are cases pending in court.
According to the source, Indians topped the list of deportees, followed by the Filipinos, Ethiopians, Egyptians, Sri Lankans and the Bangladeshis simultaneously.
Transactions achieved:
Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality revealed that 242 engineering transactions were completed in the month of August, reports AlAnba daily.
Director of Audit and Engineering Followup Department Eng Mubarak Al-Ajmi explained that the department issued 50 e-certificates, and completed 83 transactions for shops, ten transactions related to electricity bills and 15 transactions related to termination of supervision as well as “whom it may concern” transactions and transactions for strengthening electricity.
MPW gets KD 470 mln:
Ministry of Public Works has received KD 470 millions from Ministry of Finance for the implementation of the ministerial projects that are included in the state developmental plan for the next three years, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the ministry will disburse this amount in batches to the contractors and companies who carried out the ministry’s projects and to its sectors that are involved in the projects.
Also, the ministry has asked Civil Service Commission (CSC) to approve the structure of the ministry’s new sectors in order to conduct a partial reshuffling.
Teen shooter nabbed:
The Farwaniya police have arrested a Kuwaiti teenager for shooting an unidentified Asian in the foot while walking along a street in the area, reports Al-Anba daily.
It took only 24 hours for the security authorities to arrest the suspect in possession of an air pressure gun.
The juvenile has admitted to the charge and a case of negligence has been filed against the parents.
