HH the Amir offers condolence­s to Indonesian president

Kuwaitis in Oman advised to be cautious over Cyclone Luban

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has sent a cable of condolence­s to Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

In the cable, His Highness Sheikh Sabah expressed sincere grief towards victims of the earthquake that hit the islands of Bali and Java.

He wished the injured quick recuperati­on and hoped the nation would be able to cope with consequenc­es of the natural catastroph­e.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables to the Indonesia president.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti citizens in Oman have been advised against impact of the incoming Cyclone Luban.

The State of Kuwait Embassy in the Sultanate, in a statement on Thursday, urged the Kuwaiti nationals in the Sultanate, particular­ly in Dhofar, Al-Wasta and Salalah, to take precaution­s due to prospected incoming of the cyclone.

Cyclone Luban is expected to hit southern parts of Oman and Yemeni islands.

In May, Cyclone Mekunu killed at least 30 people in southern Oman and the Yemeni island of Socotra.
