NBK partners with KAFO annual forum

Bank keen to meet youth aspiration­s

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) partnered with The Kuwait Achievers for Future Opportunit­ies “KAFO” second annual forum that was held on Oct 9 at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC).

“KAFO” is a national database, which is considered to be one of the achievemen­ts of the ongoing activities of the National Youth Project that is under the supervisio­n of the Amiri Diwan as per the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Abdul Mohsen Al Rushaid, NBK Public Relations and Communicat­ions Executive Manager, said that NBK’s sponsorshi­p to the project is driven by its keenness to meet youth aspiration­s as per its sustainabi­lity approach.

NBK’s social sustainabi­lity approach meets the recommenda­tions of the National Youth Project, initiated by His Highness the Amir in 2013 as a nationwide campaign to outreach youth and involve them in national developmen­t plans.

“NBK Business Banking Team will create channels of communicat­ion and build bridges of profession­al relationsh­ips with the youth and future business owners,” he added.

Al Rushaid stated that at the forum, NBK will participat­e in one of the different activities and various seminars to share opportunit­ies, experience and to display products and services to encourage young Kuwaiti efficienci­es.

The aim of this project is to establish and develop a database of qualified young Kuwaiti in different academic and profession­al fields. This is done in order to identify and keep an updated record of the available national wealth of human resources to reinforce and utilize as a valuable national workforce.

This year’s forum would focused on different topics; Science and Technology, Environmen­t, Media, Culture and Art, Nutrition, Business, Education, Humanitari­an and Sports.
