Kuwait at­tends Breast Can­cer aware­ness drive

The Le­banese Min­istry of Pub­lic Health have launched on Fri­day the 16th Na­tional Breast Can­cer Aware­ness Cam­paign with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of Kuwait Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety (KRCS) and Qatar Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety (QRCS).

The Le­banese Deputy Prime Min­is­ter and Min­is­ter of Pub­lic Health Ghas­san Has­bani have launched the cam­paign in Beirut with a fo­rum to ed­u­cate peo­ple about means to avoid can­cer and the im­por­tance of the early de­tec­tion of breast can­cer.

KRCS and QRSC have placed a mo­bile clinic for Mam­mog­ra­phy screen­ing un­der the min­istry’s dis­posal, where it will be­gin con­duct­ing its free ex­am­i­na­tion in Harsh Beirut area.

Kuwait’s Em­bassy in Le­banon First Sec­re­tary, Ab­dul Aziz Al-Oumi told KUNA that KRCS have been al­ways play­ing its part in giv­ing hu­man­i­tar­ian aid to who­ever needs it.

The event was at­tended by Al-Oumi, Kuwait’s Em­bassy rep­re­sen­ta­tive along with a del­e­ga­tion from KRCS, headed by its Sec­re­tary-Gen­eral Maha Al-Bar­jas. (KUNA)
