The Joint Com­mit­tee for the Re­or­ga­ni­za­tion of Ex­pa­tri­ate Work­ers re­cently or­ga­nized a sur­prise in­spec­tion cam­paign in the Su­laibiya cargo area of the Gen­eral Ad­min­is­tra­tion for Cus­toms which re­sulted in the ar­rest of about 100 ex­pa­tri­ate work­ers - vi­o­la­tors of the res­i­dence law, re­ports An­na­har daily.

Ac­cord­ing to re­li­able sources most of the ar­rested per­sons hold res­i­dence per­mit un­der Ar­ti­cle 20. The com­mit­tee is pre­par­ing to take le­gal pro­ce­dures to hand them over to the con­cerned au­thor­i­ties to pre­pare their de­por­ta­tion from the coun­try.
