6 directors recruited in Al-Khafji zone

Faculty’s dept holds meet with new students

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The KuwaitiSaudi committee responsible for the joint operations in Al-Khafji zone has issued a circular concerning the recruitment of six directors in Al-Khafji zone and postponement of the filling of a vacant position, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the circular, Kaheil Al-Otaibi has been appointed as the Director of Constructions and Project Design, Abdulaziz Al-Rabei as the Director of Development and Exploration, and Abdullah Al-Mutairi as the Director of Marine Operations.

Also, Abdul Salaam Al-Kandari will be the new Director of Environment and Laboratory, Faisal Al-Refaei the new Director for Engineering Support and Fahad Al-Ajmi the new Director of Internal Audit.

Electrical Engineering Department in the Faculty of Engineering and Oil at Kuwait University in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) held a meeting with the new students in the presence of lecturers and several graduate students.

Head of IEEE Altaf Hamad Al-Shimmari welcomed the new students, saying the department and IEEE are keen on providing the best of services to students.

On behalf of head of the department, rapporteur of educational committee Dr Hussain Dashti said the department and the committee have been exerting tremendous efforts to help the students. He added the committee follows up the activities of the students, especially those facing issues such as delay in registration and others receiving warnings.
