Kuwaiti minister discusses with S. Korean minister bilateral ties

Meet discusses joint collaboration

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Minister of State for Housing Affairs Dr Jenan Boushehri met on Wednesday the South Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi to discuss bilateral ties.

The two sides addressed means of innovating and expanding the investments of Korean companies in Kuwait for the common interest of both countries, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare said in a press release.

The Kuwaiti minister said, during the meeting, that she looks forward to strengthening the bilateral ties between Kuwait and South Korea, according to the release.

The Korean minister made several visits to Kuwait to follow up Korean businesses in Kuwait, it added.

Later on, Kuwaiti Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Hussam Al-Roumi held talks with Kim Hyun-mi, South Korea’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and her accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed joint collaboration in infrastructure and projects to benefit from the expertise of South Korean companies, said a statement by the Ministry of Public Works.

The South Korean minister added that the meeting reviewed the South Korean side’s information technology advancement, especially intelligent transport systems (ITS).

The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works Awatif Al-Ghunaim and a number of officials at the ministry.
