MoI raids large number of Hawally massage parlors to curb immorality

Asian duo held in forged fingerprint attempt

-

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 17: The Ministry of Interior in its continued efforts to cleanse the country of immoral acts, organized surprise inspection campaigns against a number of massage institutes in Hawally because these outlets allowed immoral acts under the cover of massage services, reports Al-Rai daily.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of a Kuwaiti and 14 transvestites – 11 Filipinos, 2 Thais and an Egyptian. The daily quoting security sources said legal action has been initiated against the owners of these massage parlors.

During interrogation, all the suspects have admitted to the charges slapped against them. They have been referred to the concerned authorities to prepare their deportation from the country.

Asian duo held:

Two Asian expatriates were arrested for attempting to forge fingerprints to escape being caught by security authorities, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to security sources, an Asian expatriate managed to enter the country on a forged passport, a matter that reflects the security shortcomings at the airport because the man was deported one year ago.

Out of fear of being discovered, he asked a compatriot friend for help in giving fingerprints on his behalf. However, neither he nor his friend were aware that forensic men would discover such a move easily because the fingerprints of the compatriot friend would reveal his name, which is contrary to the data on the passport of the suspect.

The two suspects have been arrested and referred to the concerned authorities in preparation for their deportation.

Brothers in crime:

Two Kuwaiti brothers with a criminal past have been arrested by the police for consuming drugs, driving a stolen car without a license plate and crashing into the vehicle of an unidentified motorist, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said a police patrol on routine duty in Fahaheel ordered the duo to stop for reckless driving and colliding with another vehicle, but they ignored orders and continued driving.

Police then forced the suspects to pull over, arrested them and put them in the police vehicle. However, on their way to the police station, they damaged the seats of the police vehicle.

They have been handed over to the concerned authority.

Car ‘snatched’:

Police are looking for two unidentified persons for stealing the car of a company, reports Al-Rai daily.

In his complaint to the police, the Asian driver said, he was driving along a road in Fintas and two men driving in another vehicle waved at him and told him there was something wrong with his car tire.

He added, at this point he got out of the car to check what was wrong and one of the men from the other car got into his vehicle and drove off.

The legal advisor of the company has filed a complaint with the Fintas Police Station.

Negligent cops:

A security source revealed a case of negligence has been filed against an officer and four policemen working at the Adan Police Station, reports Al-Qabas daily.

This happened after a bedoun managed to escape from inside the police station following his interrogation last week.

However, the source added, the suspect was returned to the police station by his father. He was reportedly arrested for stealing vehicles and selling them to raise money to buy narcotics.
