Relatively hot weather to dominate weekend: Al-Qarawi

Friday will witness waves between two to five feet during the day

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18, (KUNA): Weather in Kuwait during the weekend will be relatively hot with variable light to moderate southeaste­rn winds dominating the atmosphere, said a Kuwaiti meteorolog­ist Thursday.

Speaking to KUNA, meteorolog­ist Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi said that temperatur­e would go down as the fall season continues to gather momentum.

Daytime temperatur­e Thursday was between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, said Al-Qarawi, adding that wind speed was between 8 to 32 kilometers per hour (km/h). The state of the sea seeing waves at one to four feet.

He indicated that Thursday’s evening weather would see the temperatur­e falling down to 21 to 23 degrees Celsius, as the state of the sea will have waves reaching around two to four feet.

The weather Friday will see temperatur­es going up between 34 to 36 degrees Celsius during the day with possible humidity.

The temperatur­e will cool down to 20 and 22 degrees Celsius in the evening, said AlQarawi, adding that wind speed will vary during daytime to reach eight to 38 km/h while in the evening it will be between eight to 26 km/h.

The state of the sea Friday will witness waves between two to five feet in the day and one to three feet in the evening.

Saturday’s weather will continue the trend of hot temperatur­es and relative humidity during the day. The temperatur­e will possible reach between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius while at evening time it will cool down to around 19 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Light variable southeaste­rn winds with speeds of eight to 35 km/h will dominate Saturday’s daytime weather, while in the event, expected to be cloudy, wind will be at speed of 10 to 30 km/h. State of the sea will have waves reaching two to four feet during the day and one to three feet during the evening.
