Following the humiliation of a Kuwaiti doctor on duty, the question once again surfaces, ‘Who protects the doctors and the medical staff from assaults and abuse in spite of strict laws? Is it the Ministry of Interior or the Ministry of Health?’, reports Al-Rai daily.
A female Kuwaiti doctor working at a polyclinic has filed a a complaint against a ‘patient’ who barged into the examination room when the doctor was checking another patient and when the doctor requested the suspect (a female patient) to wait for her turn, she not only refused but got into an argument with the doctor and insulted her.
The clinic officials intervened and requested the suspect to calm down, but she refused, raised her voice and humiliated the doctor and left.
