Kuwait and IATA sign agreement on promoting civil aviation cooperation
Deal covers safety procedures
GENEVA, Oct 18, (KUNA): Kuwait and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on Wednesday inked an agreement on boosting cooperation in civil aviation. The deal covers safety procedures, sharing information, digital cargo and smart security.
The agreement was signed by Head of Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, and IATA Director General Alexandre de Juniac and IATA Regional VicePresident for Africa and the Middle East Mohammad Al-Bakri.
The deal will pave the way for joint cooperation which benefits Kuwait in the fields of airports management, aviation security and others, Sheikh Salman told KUNA in a statement.
He added that the deal is in line with Kuwait’s 2035 vision.
