Alghanim Industries reaffirms commitment to supporting entrepreneurs
Partners with Tmkeen Youth Symposium for the third consecutive year
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Alghanim Industries, one of the largest privately owned companies in the region, renewed its strategic partnership with the Tmkeen Youth Symposium for the third consecutive year. The partnership reaffirms Alghanim’s commitment to enable Kuwait’s new generation of entrepreneurs and young business leaders.
The seventh edition of Tmkeen will feature highly experienced guests representing renowned global industry leaders, such as Netflix and Tesla, and will be held in the upcoming month of November under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
During a press conference that took place in the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday, Oct 8, Tmkeen and its strategic partners restated their commitment to supporting youth and entrepreneurs. Alghanim Industries underscored its core belief in the vital role private sector entities play in empowering youth, while also echoing the directives of His Highness the Amir, who urged private sector leaders on numerous occasions to invest in youth.
Representing the company at the conference, Corporate Communications Manager Hadeer Shelash noted that sponsoring the event for the third consecutive year reflects the company’s belief in the goals of the national youth initiative.
Alghanim Industries collaborates extensively with different national and international organizations to empower youth, especially entrepreneurs.
“One of the biggest indicators of our commitment to helping young entrepreneurs is our CEO Omar K. Alghanim’s co-founding of INJAZ Al-Arab and founding of INJAZ Kuwait. Since its establishment, INJAZ has trained more than 70,000 youth in Kuwait in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness,” she said.
“Youth are eager for opportunities that not only hone their skills and enrich their talents, but also inspire them – and that’s exactly what Tmkeen does. Since its first edition, Tmkeen Youth Symposium contributed to enriching the ongoing dialogue on entrepreneurship, providing a platform for interaction between youth and a consortium of successful entrepreneurs from Kuwait and around the globe,” she added.
This initiative stems from Alghanim Industries’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, representing its commitment to giving back to the community, supporting education and encouraging entrepreneurship. In addition to its partnership with Tmkeen, the company is also one of the main sponsors of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) annual conferences.
This year, the company is sponsoring Seedstars Kuwait, an event that includes inspiring sessions aimed at helping new entrepreneurs and startups realize their potential.
