Kuwait affirms co-op with sustainable developments

Bid to eradicate poverty

VIENNA, Nov 10, (KUNA): Director of Arab administration in the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Basil Al-Khatib praised on Friday the level of cooperation between Kuwait and the organization in achieving sustainable developments.

Al-Khatib said in a statement to KUNA marking the occasion of The Arab International Aluminium Conference (ARABAL), which is scheduled to be held next Sunday, adding that Kuwait encourages industrial and comprehensive developments in the world to exert efforts to eradicate poverty.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will be sponsoring the three-day ARABAL conference with the participants of 50 countries.

Headquartered in Vienna, UNIDO was established in 1966 and is specialized in industrial developments in developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
