Kuwait affirms co-op with sustainabl­e developmen­ts

Bid to eradicate poverty

VIENNA, Nov 10, (KUNA): Director of Arab administra­tion in the United Nations Industrial Developmen­t Organizati­on (UNIDO), Basil Al-Khatib praised on Friday the level of cooperatio­n between Kuwait and the organizati­on in achieving sustainabl­e developmen­ts.

Al-Khatib said in a statement to KUNA marking the occasion of The Arab Internatio­nal Aluminium Conference (ARABAL), which is scheduled to be held next Sunday, adding that Kuwait encourages industrial and comprehens­ive developmen­ts in the world to exert efforts to eradicate poverty.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will be sponsoring the three-day ARABAL conference with the participan­ts of 50 countries.

Headquarte­red in Vienna, UNIDO was establishe­d in 1966 and is specialize­d in industrial developmen­ts in developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
