Upon instructions of University’s President, Minister of Education the and and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi, the campus will be closed due to weather conditions engulfing the country, the University’s spokesman Dr Muthana Al-Refaie said in a press statement.

Exams scheduled for Saturday were cancelled and will be held later on after the improvement of weather conditions, he added.

The Meteorological Department revealed that the country is experiencing unstable weather conditions and scattered thunderous rains, ranging between moderate and heavy, expected to run until Saturday morning.

In this regard, the Interior Ministry urged both citizens and expatriates to be cautious enough amid showers hitting the country.
