DDI Wins Int’l Genetic Disorders Prevention Award
Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI), founded by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences has won recently the International Genetic Disorders Prevention Award for the year 2018, under the award category: Most Innovative Research Institution in the field of genetic research – Regional.
Dr Qais Al-Duwairi, DirectorGeneral of Dasman Diabetes Institute was in attendance to receive this important award. This award was part of the 7th International Genetics Disorders Conference which was held in Dubai on Nov 10 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Tolerance of UAE and President of UAE Genetic Diseases Association. In addition, the award ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mariam Al Mehairi, Minister of State for Food Security in the UAE, who praised the research efforts taking place at Dasman Diabetes Institute.
