ALSAYER wins Platinum Award from GORD

Recognition for strategic commitment towards sustainability

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: ALSAYER Holding was bestowed with the prestigious Sustainability Award from Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD) at the 2018 Sustainability Summit recently held in Doha, Qatar. GORD is recognized as the first performance-based system in the MENA region, developed for rating the green buildings and infrastructure.

According to Mohamed Naser Al-Sayer, Executive Board Member and Chairman of Sustainability committee “ALSAYER Holding is reinstating its continued commitment having awarded the prestigious Sustainability Award for 2016 for adopting sustainability best practices in design of the landmark Toyota City project.”

For 2018 ALSAYER won the award under commercial sector for their leadership and commitment to adopt sustainability best practices in the Operations of the headquarter building at Free Trade Zone Area in Kuwait. Sustainability initiatives for Green building were adopted in the field of Energy, Water, Indoor Environment, Waste Management and Facility Management.
