IMA hosts felicitation get-together
In commemoration of 25 years of community and social services in Kuwait, Public Relations Dept of IMA invited various Indian Muslim community leaders in Kuwait, local businessmen, representatives from Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs and Kuwaiti social organizations at a gala dinner at the Crowne Plaza Al-Afrah Ballroom.
Mohammed Nasser Al Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for foreign relations and media, Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs graced the function by his presence and encouraging words. Khaled Abdulrahman al-Sanaan, head of communities Section at Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs praised the various activities and appreciated efforts of IMA in serving the humanitarian cause. Two other dignitaries Fahad Zaid Al Mutairi and Yousuf Abdurrahman also spoke aptly on the occasion.
The function started with recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiz Tayyeb. IMA President Masood Shahab in his welcome address presented the major achievements of the Association. IMA Vice-President Sharafuddin Soofi convened the program with a Powerpoint presentation on the 25-year commemoration activities.
Musaib Siddiqui and Ilyas Shaikh displayed the journey of IMA in Kuwait to the audience through a documentary video film highlighting the 25 years. Some prominent guests were honored with a memento by the executive members of IMA and by other Muslim community leaders. Mohammad Hasan Noor was chief organizer of the event in coordination with PR coordinators Rafatali, Iqbal Abdullatif and Khalid Aazmi. He also presented the vote of thanks.
