Hunt launched for killer as ‘battered’ body of woman found in Salmi desert
Worker threatens to kill boss for not sanctioning leave
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: Police are looking for an unknown person for the alleged murder of an unidentified woman, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily added, the battered and bruised corpse of the woman was found in Salmi, with injuries to the face and head.
It appears the abaya-clad woman was a victim of revenge killing.
The corpse has been referred to Forensics to identify the time of death and the manner in which she was killed.
Meanwhile, police have arrested an unidentified 21-year-old Kuwaiti woman who was wanted by law for failing to pay KD 3,100 to an unidentified company, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added, the suspect was arrested at a checkpoint in Dhaher. She has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
Threat to kill boss:
An employee at the Car Technical Testing Department in Nuwaiseeb Center was arrested for threatening to kill his direct supervisor with a knife, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to the source, the incident occurred after the supervisor refused to sign the employee’s leave form. The employee got mad, took a knife and threatened to kill his boss. Fortunately, their colleagues intervened and pacified the disputing parties. The source said the supervisor filed a complaint at Nuwaiseeb Police Station accusing the employee of insulting and attempting to kill him in public while he was on duty.
The complainant provided police with the name of the suspect who was arrested later.
Contractor

A Lebanese man has filed a complaint with the Jahra Police Station accusing the contractor of his company stealing KD 950,000, reports Al-Shahed daily.
He told the police the theft was discovered after hundreds of company workers complained of non-payment of their salaries.
Speaking to the daily, a security source affirmed the authenticity of the complaint because complaints continue to pour in.
In the meantime, it has been reported the contractor has left the country. However, legal action has been initiated against the suspect.

The factfinding committee that was recently formed by the concerned authority to know the damages caused by the recently heavy rains has requested the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport(PART) for a detailed report on the water collection points in Mangaf, Seventh Ring Road and Doha Linking Road and what actions have been taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in future, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting reliable sources..
The sources pointed out the report will include 12 completed projects that are subject to a maintenance period as well 12 others which have been handed over in addition to nine projects which will soon be handed over to the concerned authorities.

Hawally securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen and his Egyptian girlfriend who were under the influence of alcohol with a bottle of local wine in their possession, reports Alrai daily.
According to a security source, the arrest took place in Salmiya while the securitymen were patrolling the area. The officers flagged down a car
