Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah recently hosted in his office the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Salam International Hospital Dr Ayman Salem.
Sheikh Fawaz affirmed that the governorate welcomes all projects and initiatives that can add value to various aspects of service, work and production- especially in health, at a time when Ahmadi Governorate is fast growing in population amid the current expansion of new residential cities toward the south of the country.
In response, Dr Salem appreciated the meeting, saying he intimated the Governor on details concerning goals and constituents of a branch of the hospital being constructed in Mahboula. He assured the hospital will be operational after one year.
KFSD organizes drill:
Kuwait Fire Service Directorate recently organized the “Comprehensive Drill” in which several agencies from the GCC countries and international organizations participated.
Director General of Fire Service Lt General Khalid Al-Mekrad disclosed that the Comprehensive Drill was an extension of previous drills while striving to work on unification and coordination of efforts among concerned government agencies on ways to deal with natural disasters and emergencies. He added the drill was intended for consolidating collective role of leaders to increase the rate of cooperation and coordination among concerned authorities.
KU Research Sector organizes orientation:
The Research Sector at Kuwait University recently organized an orientation for newly appointed academic staff at the College of Science in the presence of assistant vice-presidents for research Professor Haider Seyyid Jawad Behbehani, Professor Yousef Hassan Qurashi and Professor Laila Nayef Ma’arouf.
The orientation was aimed at enlightening the academic staff and researchers who are new to the academic environment, as well as familiarize them with the scientific and research life at the university. The event also highlighted the top quality scientific research in the university.
