Firm restates its commitment to youth and education

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: Alghanim Industries (AI), one of the largest private companies in the region, sponsored the 35th annual conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) USA branch. The conference took place Nov 22-24 in Dallas, Texas, under the slogan “Kuwait and its Youth”. The event was held under the patronage and with the attendance of HE Minister of Defense and First Deputy of Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah. This is the 11th participat­ion of Alghanim Industries in this annual student event, which underscore­s its commitment to youth, education, and local talent.

The annual event was attended by Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, HE Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah, along with a number of public figures and experts in various fields. The student-led conference featured an array of informativ­e panel discussion­s covering a multitude of topics that are of interest to Kuwaiti youth including the economy, sports and society. These informativ­e sessions were coupled with various entertainm­ent segments including stand-up comedy and entertainm­ent.

Reflecting its ongoing pursuit for qualified Kuwaiti candidates, Alghanim Industries’ Human Resources Department was present at the event’s career fair, answering queries about the company and the different career opportunit­ies it provides, including internship­s, training and job opportunit­ies.

Visitors of Alghanim Industries’ booth at the event were enrolled in a draw, and winners were announced towards the end of the event, with valuable prizes that include travel tickets and electronic­s.

The sponsorshi­p of the annual NUKS conference in the United States comes as part of Alghanim Industries’ corporate social responsibi­lity (CSR) program, which is focused on empowering the underprivi­leged, supporting education and encouragin­g entreprene­urship. Alghanim was a strategic sponsor for the seventh annual Tmkeen Youth Symposium, an initiative that provides youth with valuable insights about entreprene­urship from industry leaders, academics and experts, held under the patronage of the HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
