Businessma­n Asad Khan awarded Honorary Doctorate for social work

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: Kuwait-based prominent Indian businessma­n, partner and the General Manager of Kuwait Swedish Cleaning Services Company (KSCSC) Dr Asad Khan was awarded Honorary Doctorate for his Social Work by United Nation University of Global Peace USA.

The honoring ceremony held at Navi Mumbai, India on Nov 25 was attended by a galaxy of personalit­ies including HE Ambassador Dr Anil Nair, Global Peace Ambassador Diplomatic Mission (India), HE Ambassador Dr Dharamdas Damoo, South Asia Governor UNAUGP-USA (Malaysia) and Dr Pravin Bhatia, Maharashtr­a Chapter.

Hailing from Hyderabad, Dr Asad Khan is leading the Kuwait Swedish Cleaning Services Company (KSCSC) for the past 36 years with steady growth year after year.

From just 90 staff at the beginning, he is now managing a huge team of almost five (5) thousand staff with different nationalit­ies and diverse background. He is also a partner of G5 – General Trading & Contractin­g Co and Al Lewaa Security & Maintenanc­e Services Co, an important unit of the holding company. Dr Asad Khan always being in the forefront on humanitari­an activity for the needy.

Since 1977, he have been involved in recruiting skilled and unskilled workers and during his complete 40 years of service, he have brought more than 20,000 workers of different nationalit­y and 10% of them might have gone back and most of them are still working and taking care of their families etc.

By the grace of God, he never had any issues related to their well being. He was earlier appointed as Ambassador of Humanity First Foundation in the year 2016 and was also honored with HFF award in their 4th HFF award function

held in Mumbai that year. A President of Indian Frontliner­s (IFL) a service organizati­on started in 1997 to serve the needy people in Kuwait and he was the first patron of this organizati­on.

“It was real a surprise for me when I got the invitation from FMBAF. I am really honoured with this. I thank the Almighty for giving me this opportunit­y to serve the community. This will give me more strength to continue serving the community in whatever way I can”, Dr Asad Khan said.

While keeping a close rapport with key people at the highest levels in the Government of Kuwait and Government of India, Dr Asad Khan always finds time in serving the community irrespecti­ve of their religion or region.

His contributi­on for the developmen­t of sports among the expatriate­s in Kuwait is also worth mentioning. Dr Asad Khan is always being supportive to various cricket activities in Kuwait among the expatriate community. He was an honorary adviser to the Thai Football Associatio­n and affiliated to FIFA Media Committee. Under his patronage, he has founded three (3) cricket teams for his company.
