Jordanian Community Council hosts dinner for visiting delegation
The Jordanian Ambassador to Kuwait, Saqr Abu Shattal, said the Jordanian workers are one of the earliest in Kuwait and that many Jordanians have been present in Kuwait since the 1950s and have left clear marks in many educational, health, engineering and other sectors, reports Al-Rai daily.
He was speaking at a dinner hosted by the Jordanian Community Council in honor of the Jordanian press and media delegation visiting the country at the invitation of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information.
Abu Shattal said the Jordanians are considered to be the most law-abiding community in Kuwait, due to the similarities and traditions

He welcomed the visiting delegation headed by Jordanian Journalists’ Syndicate, Rakan Al-Sa’aideh, including the DirectorGeneral of Jordan News Agency Mohammed Al-Omari, Editor-inChief of the Jafra website Nidal Fara’ana, and columnist in Al-Rai newspaper Raddad Al-Qarala at the the Jordanian Embassy in Kuwait.
The press delegation discussed with the members of the Community Council, headed by the Secretary General of the community Nabil AlAbdullah and Secretary Mansour Kamal Humoum, issues affecting Jordanians. He expressed his readiness to convey their demands to officials in the Kingdom through the media in which they work.
The participants exchanged views on the laws concerning publications, publishing and electronic crimes and the definition of freedom in this field, stressing the need to spread awareness among all sectors of society.
At the end of the ceremony, the Jordanian Ambassador honored members of the visiting media delegation with commemorative shields. The Secretary General of the Jordanian community, Nabil AlAbdullah, was handed over a shield from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry for his great efforts in serving the country.
