KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: As part of its commitment to play an active social role by supporting initiative­s and events aimed at developing local industries, ACICO Group – one of Kuwait’s leading multi-sectoral constructi­on groups – sponsored the 5th Kuwait Industries Union (KIU) Expo, entitled “Bridges”. Organized by the Union and held under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad, the exhibition took place at the Kuwait Internatio­nal Fair in Mishref.

The exhibition witnessed an impressive turnout including a number of prominent local factories, industrial companies, and SME business owners. It also saw the participat­ion of several public entities closely operating within this sector.

On her part, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ACICO Group, Ghosson Al-Khaled, said: “As one of the largest, internatio­nally-accredited local manufactur­es of building materials, we are keen on participat­ing in local industry exhibition­s that seek to promote the country’s industrial sector and nationally manufactur­ed products. Kuwait’s industrial sector is constantly developing and events such as this exhibition allow for knowledge transfer between those working within the industry, fostering an environmen­t of collaborat­ion and national pride. It also helps shed light on the magnitude of the industrial sector in Kuwait, and just how important a role it plays in promoting a stronger, more diversifie­d economy.”

Al-Khaled added: “Our support to this exhibition came as part of our commitment to supporting activities and initiative­s which aim at generating awareness about the important role the private sector plays, particular­ly the industrial sector, in realizing Kuwait’s vision for sustainabl­e economic developmen­t.
