‘SIAL Mideast vital in showcasing Kuwaiti products’
SIAL Middle East is an important version of the food innovation network, especially for showcasing national products, a Kuwaiti official said here Tuesday.
Having Kuwait as a “Guest of Honor” for SIAL Middle East 2018 sustains status and high quality of Kuwaiti products amongst its Arab peers, said Mohammad Al-Ajmi, deputy director general of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI), in a statement to KUNA.
The SIAL Abu Dhabi exhibition provides a platform for the Kuwaiti pavilion to interact with a galaxy of regional and global food and beverages’ companies, as well as promoting products and discovering new markets, he noted.
UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and sponsor of the exhibition Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed visited the Kuwaiti pavilion and was briefed with the latest and most significant products it had to offer.
The exhibition, which will wrap up tomorrow, sees the participation of 45 countries, representing some 1,000 food, drink and catering companies.
PAI pavilion included Kuwait Packing Materials Manufacturing Company, Mujezat Al-Shifa General Trading Company, Al-Seedawi Sweets Factories Company, Kuwait Food Industries Company (FICO), Al-Watan Sweets, Arab Bevreges Company, Baraka International Foodstuff Company, Group for Foodstuff and Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company.
