McKnight’s triple-double helps UAPB rout Champion Christian

Dorsey scores career-high 31, Pacific beats Long Beach State

PINE BLUFF, Ark, Dec 11, (AP): Martaveous McKnight had a tripledoub­le and Charles Jackson scored 17 points to help Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Champion Christian 84-51 on Monday night.

McKnight just missed a quadruple double, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 10 steals and eight assists with just one turnover. He had four points, on 1-of-7 shooting, and one rebound at halftime.

Jackson was 6-of-9 shooting, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range, and added six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

UAPB (3-7) took a 40-28 lead into the break and remaining but Fullerton got no closer.

Maine 98, Maine-Machias 43 In Orono, Maine, Sergio El Darwich scored a career-high 21 points on 9-of-9 shooting and Vincent Eze added 16 points to help Maine beat MaineMachi­as 98-43 Monday night.

El Darwich had 15 points in the first half, topping his previous best of 14, and played just 13 total minutes. Isaiah White scored 13 and Miks Antoms and Andrew Fleming had 10 apiece for Maine (2-9).

White hit a tie-breaking 3-pointer that gave Maine the lead for good with 13:21 left in the first half and sparked a 24-5 run over the next seven-plus minutes. White added another 3 and El Darwich scored 11 points, including a dunk that capped the spurt and made it 34-15. The Black Bears led by 29 at the break and Antoms hit a free throw for their biggest lead at 93-37 with three minutes left.

Hofstra 80, Manhattan 50 In Riverdale, New York, Tareq Coburn scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Desure Buie had 18 points, six assists and three steals and Hofstra beat Manhattan 80-50 on Monday night for its fifth straight victory.

It’s Hofstra’s first win streak of at least five games since an eight-game stretch late in the 2015-16 season. The Pride also won their first game in the series, trailing 42-23 all-time, since the 2010-11 campaign.

Justin Wright-Foreman, averaging 26.9 points per game, added 14 points for Hofstra (8-3). He has scored in double figures in 64 straight games – the second longest active streak in the nation. Coburn, a junior coming off a career-high 19 points in his first career start, had his second career double-double. Eli Pemberton, averaging 16.3 points, had five points and five assists.

Dartmouth 82, Sacred Heart 73 In Hanover, Adrease Jackson scored 20 points, Chris Knight had seven points, 12 rebounds, nine assists and four blocks and Dartmouth beat Sacred Heart 82-73 on Monday.

Jackson, a sophomore, had his second 20-point game of the season and third of his career. Knight, the reigning Ivy League player of the week, set career highs in rebounds and assists.

Brendan Barry made four 3-pointers and scored 17 points for Dartmouth (6-5). Ian Sistare and James Foye each scored 10 points. The Big Green, ranked in the top 10 nationally in 3-pointers made per game, hit 11 of 29 from distance and shot 52.4 percent overall.

Dartmouth used a 16-point first-half run to help build a 42-27 halftime lead as Sacred Heart was held to two points over the final seven minutes.
