Two unidentified youths died and two others were critically injured following a collision of their motorcycles with a half lorry, reports Al-Anba daily.
The mishap occurred past midnight on a road in Abdali Road. As soon as the Operations Room of Interior Ministry received information, paramedics rushed to the spot and referred the two injured to the Jahra Hospital, while the corpses of the two others were referred to Forensics.
Fire in Mubarakiya store:
Fire-fighters from Kuwait City and Al-Hilali stations succeeded in extinguishing a fire that engulfed a store covering 40 square/meters dimension at a building in Al-Mubarakiya. No casualties were recorded. Neither did the fire spread beyond the store. Rescue officers at the Operations Room signaled to the fire stations immediately after receiving a call concerning the incident.
The fire-fighters, led by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Al-Mejadi, arrived at the scene on time and started the operation in earnest. They evacuated occupants of the building before putting out the fire.
Miraculous escape:
An Asian driver survived a ghastly motor accident whereby his vehicle somersaulted around the Taima-Na’eem axis as he sustained just minor injuries.
Upon arrival at the scene, rescue officers found the driver stuck in the vehicle reciting the “Testimony of Allah” (kalmat al-shahadah) in a state of hysteria. They calmed him down by giving him assurance that he is in good condition. He was rushed to Jahra Hospital.
Brawl in car sale:
A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Farwaniya Police Station accusing his friends (three of them) of assaulting him during a quarrel over the sale of a car, reports Annahar daily.
The police have summoned the suspects for interrogation.
