KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: The Public Authority for Manpower Affairs (PAMA) is considering transferring the work permits of qualified people (those qualified in specializations related to the teaching profession) according to their specializations and link the condition for transfer to the concerned specialization, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable PAMA sources.

The source indicated PAMA is working in cooperation with number of government authorities to characterize all professions required by the labor market in coordination with the Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET).

Sources said this move is aimed at what the PAMA sources said to streamline the work market and link the professions with academic specializations.

Meanwhile, the Director of Labor Inspection Department in the Public Authority for Manpower Affairs (PAMA) Mohammad Al-Ansari said salary certificates will be issued online by the beginning of 2019, noting all procedures in the department will be done electronically, reports Al-Anba daily.

Asked about the procedure for issuing a salary certificate, Al-Ansari explained the document will be issued through a mechanism similar to that of work permit renewal – by entering the company information and printing the certificate in the company’s headquarters without visiting the department.
