DGCA approves air navigation allowances

Kindergart­en teachers complain about new controls

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: The Directorat­e General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved air navigation allowances, ranging from KD100 to KD250 depending on the functional degree, for 230 employees assigned in the control tower and radar, reports Al-Anbaa daily.

The directorat­e took the decision before postponeme­nt of the sit-in that the Union of DGCA Workers was supposed to carry out some time this week. The allowances will be paid before the end of this month.

On the other hand, Chairperso­n of the union Salem Al-Shreeda confirmed the sit-in was postponed after the directorat­e agreed to grant the allowances. He added the union decided to postpone the sit-in until the directorat­e responds to their other demands.

Meanwhile, A group of kindergart­en teachers have complained about the new controls over the supervisor­y posts recently approved by the Directorat­e of Coordinati­on and FollowUp of Public Education in the Ministry, reports Al-Rai daily.

Head of the List of Teachers for Change Adel Al-Rashed stressed on the need to issue a law on compulsory education in kindergart­ens, and stressed on the legitimacy of the demands of teachers at this important stage describing the new conditions for the promotion of kindergart­en teacher as a crime against the teachers adding that to the years of experience to take up the post of supervisor should be 21 for the diploma, 19 for the university, 18 for the Masters and 17 for the Doctorate.
