KFH awarded top honor by Mastercard

‘Best Performing Cobranded Card Program in GCC’

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Mastercard, a leading technology company in the global payments industry, awarded Kuwait Finance House (KFH) “The Best Performing Cobranded Card Program in GCC” for the Oasis Club cobranded Mastercard and Kuwait Airways prepaid card.

Nimer Yasin, Group Deputy General Manager Cards at KFH, received the award from Girish Nanda, General Manager, Mastercard, at an award ceremony held in Dubai, UAE.

On receiving the award, Yasin said: “We are proud to have received this prestigiou­s award from Mastercard, which will serve as an additional incentive for us to continuous­ly explore rewarding programs with our partners, and offer KFH customers added value with each one of our products.”

Yasin continued: “It is great to have reached this milestone within five years of our partnershi­p with Kuwait Airways and launching the Oasis Club Mastercard card. Designed especially for our customers’ shopping and traveling needs, the card allows our cardholder­s to earn extra miles with Oasis Club for every local or internatio­nal transactio­n, and enjoy a wide range of privileges and discounts. The accumulate­d miles can be exchanged for special promotions and privileges from Kuwait Airways.”

“The KFH-Kuwait Airways cobranded offering has built an attractive new consumer value propositio­n by becoming one of the most preferred cards for customers looking to add benefits on everyday payments in line with their lifestyle needs,” he added.

The card’s overseas spend has grown by 55% on a year over year (YoY) basis. Similarly, the number of cards issued has surged by 75% YoY.

Yasin affirmed that KFH will continue to strengthen its partnershi­p with Kuwait Airways to launch customer reward programs such as the “Journey of 6 Million Miles Begins with A Card” campaign launched earlier this year. As part of the campaign, cardholder­s were entered into a draw to win one of the following prizes: one winner received 1,000,000 Miles, 5 winners were awarded 500,000 Miles each and 100 winners received 25,000 Miles each.

KFH is keen to ensure that its services and products support the activities of national companies in order to develop the Kuwaiti economy and meet the evolving needs of customers in the country.
