Shaanxi.

His Highness the Amir wished the injured quick recovery, hoping the leaders would successful­ly deal with repercussi­ons of the tragic accident.

Their Highnesses the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, respective­ly Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak AlHamad Al-Sabah, addressed cables of identical content to the Chinese president. (KUNA)

DOHA: Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad AlThani has ordered formation of a $20 million fund, sponsored by the African Union, to organize return of illegal African refugees in Libya to return to their countries.

The official Qatari News Agency said on Sunday the Amir’s initiative came in line with his “vision for supporting humanitari­an and developmen­t action in the African Union countries and for easing off the living hardships suffered by these refugees.”

It quoted Chairperso­n of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat as praising, during a meeting Sunday with the Amir, the latter’s initiative. (KUNA)

SANAA: Yemen’s government has announced that the chief of its military intelligen­ce has died of wounds sustained during last week’s drone attack on an army parade. It said President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, head of Yemen’s internatio­nally recognized government, sent a cable of condolence­s to the family of Maj Gen Mohammad Saleh Tamah, who died Sunday in a hospital in the southern port city of Aden.
