Outstandin­g students batch visits Tajik projects

A picture of the outstandin­g students in Tajikistan. The group of “Be Among the Excellent” male outstandin­g students journey, organized by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Developmen­t (KFAED), visited on Sunday two ongoing projects funded by KFAED in Tajikistan.

The Kuwaiti delegation visited the first project in Danghara for irrigating the valley, funded with by KFAED KD 4 million (USD 13.1 million).

The project aims to increase agricultur­al production, job opportunit­ies and enhance the country economy.

In a statement for KUNA, the Director of the project, Ebrahim Zada, said in four villages, approximat­ely 14,000 families have benefited from this venture.

The delegation visited the second project rebuilding a road in Kolab, funded with KD 7.5 million (USD 25 million).

On his part, the director of the project, Zafar Sharif, said this project “helped in rehabilita­ting the roads of Kolab and saving a lot of effort and time in transporti­ng people and goods.” (KUNA)
